Mother Prinx Duos

Prinx Duos is the current High Priest of Phedailin's temple order, known as the Order of Dualkedor, and situated in Hunnuklad. Daughter of Erertoga, sister to Sigmund, and mother of Srafel Duom, Prinx was supposed to be a princess of Phedailin since her birth in 760AL.

Denied Her Rights

As a Hireos baby, she was handed to the temple to be taken care of because she was a product of Erertoga sleeping with another woman, which is unthinkable for a king of Phedailin to do. Erertoga ordered that she never would know about where she had come from, and she was raised to believe she was just an orphan training to be a priestess. When she was about 120 (still young for a Hireos) she fell pregnant. She was questioned about it once the priests noticed but the child had no father. The elder priests shrugged it aside for a while, remembering that she was in fact Erertoga's daughter, and that mistreatment of her would not seem favourable, no matter who Erertoga claimed his children to be. And so she gave birth to a boy and called him Srafel, and the boy grew up in the temple, quickly learning all of their faithful and magical ways.

One day, when Srafel was nine years old, he overheard the king himself talking to an elder priest, saying that they had been ordered to move Prinx and her son to a temple in Laurondirin. During their conversation, they spoke briefly of Prinx's true past -- about how she was actually supposed to be the princess. Srafel was a clever child, and he was enraged, but he remained hidden. When the elder priest had left the room, Srafel killed his grandfather -- King Erertoga -- with the royal sword. By the time Prinx had found out what had happened, Srafel was already gone. The High Priest had returned and murdered Srafel, but was not executed. He was locked away in Lysaeum Tower in Jevithem Castle. The only reason he was not executed was because he claimed to act in defence of the king. Srafel became a Slayer by the order of Nikina, and Prinx was left with nobody. Her brother, Sigmund, took the throne, and she continued doing what she had been doing until she became the Head Priestess as she saw no point in trying to find her son.

The First High Priestess

Prinx is, in fact, the first High Priestess that the Order of Dualkedor has ever had. No woman was initially supposed to lead the order, but she gained the title nonetheless. This was due to three factors. The first was the peculiar situation Erertoga had placed her in in the first place. She was raised to be an orphan, so she thought she had nothing to lose by risking everything to become High Priestess. The second was because the priests had simply gotten used to treating her very well, so she thought she was excelling in her studies. Though the circumstance was indeed unfair, it transformed into a circle of optimism for her. She was treated well, so she did well, and the priests treated her even better in return for doing well. The third was because many believe King Sigmund bestowed her with the title because he felt guilty for the crimes of his father and wanted to amend for them. Prinx's promotion was highly favoured among the people of Phedailin and beyond. It was something new, and something exciting, and Prinx was indeed loved by the people.

To many, she seems extremely stern. She has a reputation of being steelish in her actions, expressions, and speech. She does not joke, or find amusement in many things. Instead, she commits herself to the problems of her people, and helps those in spiritual need to the best of her ability. Some say that she can be heard crying in the top floor of the temple tower late at night for not knowing where her son went.
