History

Though the Truebloods were created by Leuvana, Enkhaedis is their Father (King) and Sarkha is their Mother (Queen). Enkhaedis was born in 7575BD, and Leuvana then created the first Truebloods to follow him and ultimately her. Hluff was founded in the same year he was born where it is now, though back then its buildings were stone. Today, the original Hluff is buried deep under rubble, snow, and dirt. The Truebloods obtained a non-Hireos queen when Enkhaedis married one called Sarkha in 3620BD. Soon after, he had two sons, listed below.

The Genocide

Back before the year 893AL, the Truebloods were the ones who lived in a great city that rested where Hluff is now. They were a rich, strong, and proud race. Of course, humans were naturally jealous and feared them. There was little to no communication between the two. Back then, The Guards was a very peace-by-order faction and it's Central-wide adventurous nature forced the humans to venture further north bit by bit, until some dared venture into where the Truebloods live. When the humans saw what riches the Truebloods held, their jealousy sweltered. The soldiers that were situated at Fabia acted on their own accord, and raided the Trueblood village in the year 893AL.

This became known as The Genocide. Truebloods were not prepared for this. Many were slaughtered and those forced into slavery killed themselves. They were far too proud a race to allow themselves to be put below humans. During this battle, some of the Truebloods - including their leader - fled westward and prayed to Leuvana for aid. Through her compassion, they were granted access across the treacherous waters there. Because no humans travel these waters, it is said that to the present day they hide somewhere out there in the unforgiving cold of the north.

The Truebloods that refused to flee stayed and protected the village. Many paid with their lives to protect their families. However, after a turn of unforeseeable events, the Truebloods who stayed behind drove the humans back, but the humans managed to take with them almost all of the treasure the Truebloods were holding at the time.

Because their leader, Father Enkhaedis, fled west, not because he was a coward, but rather out of his will to keep his people alive, the Truebloods who remained behind no longer had a source for the magic that was sacred to the Truebloods. They lost the the true blood that flowed through their veins, and became a lesser race now known as Sirins. Sirins do not use magic, they do not hoard treasure, they do not build fantastic stone structures, and they like neither humans nor Truebloods, though they do protect the whereabouts of their ancestors hiding in Tlenrian palace, known only to them.

Appearance and Nature

Truebloods appear much as Leuvana did. They have dark brown fur all over their body, long crimson hair, piercing blue eyes, and the fangs, claws, bushy tail, and senses of a wolf. They are quite tall people and clad themselves in regal robes lined with thick, pale fur and inked with tiger stripes. The higher ones bear golden jewellery and silver weapons. Their bodies are covered in geometric maroon tattoos, much like Sirins, but there are far more of them and they are more complex.

Truebloods are fierce fighters and are distrustful towards all other races because of their history. Despite this, they are strong believers in loyalty and morality, and they see their distrust as more a precaution than a hostile action. Hostility is only resulted to when trust is broken. Though they worship Leuvana, who is a spirit of healing, it is pride-damaging for a Trueblood to accept aid unless he or she is incapable of doing what needs to be done. Truebloods think highly of themselves but they do not boast their abilities, as they do not keep contact with any other people. Occasionally, word is sent between them and the Sirins, but it is rare and impersonal. They also believe strongly in the family unit.

Some of the Truebloods:

Enkhaedis

See Enkhaedis.

Sarkha

Enkhaedis's wife and Mother to the Truebloods since 3620BD, Sarkha is a powerful and passionate woman. She is one of the few who can sway Enkhaedis's view in an argument and at the same time she is open to the ideas of others. She is an impressive wielder of light magic and, similarly, the healing arts. It's said she married Enkhaedis because she cured his illness that he had come down with. They married a year after she cured him.

Nekhriram

The oldest son of Enkhaedis. Nekhriram is a man of battle and power, and some fear the idea of him taking his father's place, as he has been known to make rash and foolish decisions. He tries to settle everything with one-on-one duels in combat, but fellow Truebloods always shamelessly decline. He was born in 3160BD.

Daesdikhin

The younger son of Enkhaedis. Daesdikhin is far more respected than Nekhriram, and is undoubtedly formidable at least, but he is calmer and more forgiving than most of his kind. He is a master craftsmen and can forge silver and gold in ways lost to mankind. People much prefer he would take the place of his father.

Hasmin

Daesdikhin's quiet wife. Hasmin is a woman of few words, and thus, not much is known about her. It's rumoured she had quite a troubled life and only the supportive nature of her husband has gotten her through. They got married in 1159AL, though he was born in 3030BD. Her birthdate is not known.

Khurlun and Naerin

Daesdikhin's two sons. Khurlun was born in 1165AL, and Naerin in 1168AL. Both went out on a journey of ambiguous nature in 1170AL but neither returned. It is said they were adventurous and fearless boys. Their parents do not think they are dead.
