Human Races
Though, in Riiga, race is generally classified as belonging to one of numerous clear subdivisions within three primary classes -- animal hybrids, mostly animal and part human; human hybrids, mostly human and part anumal; and humans -- there are refined races within the term "human". Keid, technically, are not considered to be human because they are from Buroba and not a descendant of Lord Renin. Human races can be identified primarily by simply ovserving their appearance, as generalisations can be made. However, the more time that passes, the harder it becomes to generalise races, as people travel around the world and the races become blended to a degree. Below are established generalised races with rough descriptions.

Vasteans
Found: North Tasif, Temanea, Curin.
Height: Average-short.
Build: Strong-average.
Complexion: Average.
Sub-races: Vastean, Hodasian, Santurian, Curien, Ikadean.
Hair: Brown to reddish brown, mostly shades of dark blond.
Eyes: Mostly blue, some grey and brown, rarely dark green and purple.
Face:
Slightly round/chubby, quite average.
Existing since: ~13,000BD
Also called first-borns, Vasteans are humans who are ancestors of the first humans who lived with Renin in North Tasif and Temanea. Therefore, they have been around since the earliest years; approximately since 13,000BD. They are accustomed to pleasant, mild, and temperate climates. They often boast about their humble farmer origins under Renin's watchful eye and enjoy working hard, construction, making a living on life itself, and good food with accompanying celebration. They are presumed to be honest and trustworthy people.
Hodasians are native to Temanea. They are, by nature, quite muscled and are also the only race known to have purple eyes. Vasteans are found on the western side of North Tasif, mostly around the city of Lyte. Santurians are found towards the eastern to southern regions of North Tasif, from Serten and southward. Ikadeans are found further south than Santurians, around the city of Ikadea and mostly on the Ikadean Isles. Ikadeans and Santurians have darker hair and eyes than the other sub-races of Vasteans. Curiens are relatively knew, found mostly on Curin. They are descended from Vasteans and Hodasians. Blue eyes are very common amongst Curiens.
Scarcens
Found: South Tasif.
Height: Tall.
Build: Average-thin.
Complexion: Dark-brown.
Sub-races: Scarcen, Pitaen, Hade.
Hair: Blond to light or reddish blond.
Eyes: Reds, browns, some green or dark grey.
Face:
Wide/broad features but otherwise average.
Existing since: ~8000BD
Oddly enough, Scarcens are from South Tasif, whose capital city is Scarcus. Scarcens have existed since before 3300BD, when humans finally successfully settled down near the deserts of South Tasif. Because of the corrupt reputation of their region, Scarcens are often seen as likely bandits. This is very true in the case of Raiders -- who are indeed a more desert-hardy variation of the average Scarcen -- but most Scarcens are harmless and simply enjoy dealing with money and people.
Pitaens consist of those from the slightly cooler north-eastern parts of South Tasif, in the dry fields and forests. They are the shorest Scarcens, with the lightest skin and darkest hair. Their eyes are often standard shades of hazel. Hade are from the south end, in the desert, and they have the lightest blond hair in Riiga. Their eyes are normally shades of brown but sometimes reddish. Raiders are considered to be Hade. The tallest, known simply as Scarcens, live in and around Scarcus. Their hair is usually darker than Hades' hair but their eyes are lighter and more reddish. All Scarcens have defined cheekbones and very broad shoulders.
Nelrens
Found: South Ideitess.
Height: Short.
Build: Thin, light.
Complexion: Fair.
Sub-races: Nelren, Xilinian, Selesean.
Hair: Mostly black to dark grey or brown.
Eyes: Black to brown.
Face:
Prominent brows, pronounced cheekbones.
Existing since: ~5400BD
Nelrens, or imperials, are humans who are ancestors of the first humans to travel to South Ideitess, where the climate was considerably less warm than their homes in North Tasif. They first reached South Ideitess around 5800BD. Nelrens are often self-righteous and racist -- even towards other humans. Their society emphasises authority and control, and they are widely disliked.
Xilinians are by far the oldest sub-race of Nelrens. They can be traced back to when humans from Central first came to South Ideitess with Sage Carson. They are found towards the northern end of South Ideitess, throughout the desert and further towards the eastern coast. They are the only race in which red eyes are naturally found. Nelrens are found at the southern end of the country and also towards the west, mostly surrounding Silril Palace. Nelrens are among the shorest humans in Riiga. Seleseans are found in the more remote regions towards the east, along the coast, and they all have black hair and mostly black eyes.
Ideitens
Found: North Ideitess.
Height: Average.
Build: Average-heavy.
Complexion: Pale-fair.
Sub-races: Nelesian, Umberian, Ideiten, Karber.
Hair: Shades of brown.
Eyes: Mostly black to grey with some brown.
Face: Somewhat flat, with a rounded jaw.
Existing since: ~5000BD
Ideitens are arguably one of the most respected human races in Riiga because of their constant fighting off whatever comes out of Central Ideitess. Ideitens are from North Ideitess and moved up there with Nicolas Carson around the year 5000BD. Contrasting with their Nelren ancestors to the south, Ideitens strive to defeat the great threat of Central Ideitess to try to establish freedom for all humans. They are quick to go to arms and get their hands dirty but are quicker to rejoice in any victory they can find.
Nelesians mostly consist of Ideitens found far north of civilisation, in frozen tundra. They are a very new race as they are almost all members of the Nelesian faction. In fact, the two are often considered to be the same. Most Nelesians have black eyes and brown hair, and are quite athletic compared with other Ideiten people. Umberians are found toward the east coast and throughout the mountains there, and are some of the palest humans in Riiga. Ideitens are found toward the northwest, around the capital of Venzet. Most nobility are Ideitens. Karber live in the southern regions and have lighter hair and eyes compared with other Ideitens.
Alceans
Found: Huirnon.
Height: Short to very tall.
Build: Heavy-bulky.
Complexion: Pale-fair.
Sub-races: Alcean, Renniscen, Maharaben, Taroiccen, Windean.
Hair: Reddish brown to reddish blond.
Eyes: Mostly green, some grey and light brown.
Face:
Somewhat strong and broad, roundish cheeks.
Existing since: ~4800BD
Also known as northerners, Alceans cover the largest area of land compared with all other races, as they are descendants of the Vasteans who moved northward to Huirnon around the year 4800BD. They are often more reserved than other races, but enjoy knowledge, invention, and using their hands to create things. They also love cooking hot meals like soup and roast meat.
Alceans are those who live around Alacas, in the central region of Huirnon. They normally have the darkest hair of those in Huirnon and have normally light brown eyes and sometimes, but rarely, yellow or gold eyes. Taroiccens live in the east of Huirnon, as far as Varoicca. Their eyes range from bright to dark green and sometimes brown. Windeans live in the cold central stretches of western Huirnon and can sometimes have grey eyes. Both Taroiccens and Windeans are known to be stocky. Maharabens are found in the south-western part of Huirnon, near Ubura. They probably have the darkest skin of Alceans, though they are still quite pale. Renniscens are naturally some of the bulkiest and tallest people in Riiga, and live towards the somewhat northern areas of west Huirnon, mostly around Ellecil. Though most Alceans have reddish hair, Renniscens' hair may be tinged with blond tones.
Progorens
Found: Islands in the Progora Sea.
Height: Tall.
Build: Average-thin.
Complexion: Average-slightly dark.
Sub-races: Progoren, Kayen.
Hair: Light brown/reddish brown.
Eyes: Mostly greys.
Face:
Defined and strong features.
Existing since: ~4700BD
Though they are one of the smallest racial groups in Riiga, Progorens have been living on the pleasant islands within the Progora Sea for a very long time. They are mostly found on Progora Island, in the western Progora ocean, and the Kaye islands, in the eastern Progora ocean. They first came to the islands around 4750BD when large groups of travellers seeking resources sailed south from West Huirnon. Progorens, though quite different to their ancestors and the surrounding humans on the mainlands, are under the authority of The Guards. This was after a long war that went on between the Progorens and The Guards; many were ruthlessly put to death and dozens of ships and lives were lost at sea. Progorens are peaceful and simple people by nature, taking pleasure in living life simply through living itself. They often enjoy good food and simple music, and they try to hold on to a basic way of living.
Progorens, on Progora Island, have a mildly dark complexion and grey or brown eyes and brown hair. Kayens, found on Kaye island, are slightly taller yet slimmer than Progorens, and can have darker eyes and lighter hair with darker skin.
Nidoens
Found: North Nidonn.
Height: Average.
Build: Average-light.
Complexion: Average.
Sub-races: Trelinian, Nidoen, Jevithium, Leotian.
Hair: Dark brown/reddish brown through to dark blond.
Eyes: Highly varied; black, brown, dark-light grey, green or pale blue.
Face:
Average-soft features and curves.
Existing since: ~3800BD
One of the most common races are the Nidoens from North Nidonn, whose origins can be traced back to the first humans who travelled there around the year 3800BD. They have average complexion as their climate ranges from temperate to slightly dry, and they enjoy sunshine and fresh air. They are like Vasteans in that they like hard work and honest living, but are more ambitious in that they pride themselves in their well-established and ordered military orders, unique provinces, powerful defences, and strong sense of economy.
Trelinians are mostly those from mid-north Nidonn, in the province of Trelinia. They are slender people overall and both their hair and eyes range from reddish browns to darker browns. They are some of the shortest people in Nidonn. Jevithiums are those from the central region, mostly around Lake Baymoor in Jevithem. Mostly Jevithiums have grey eyes and darker hair than Trelinians. Nidoens, also called Phedailians, are of course from Phedailin. Their hair is less red and more blond and their eyes can range from brown, to green, to almost black. Most nobles in Nidonn are Phedailian. Leotians are from Leotyne to the west, in the cold mountains. They have light brown to blond hair, especially nobility, and their eyes range from greenish greys to bright, crystal blues.
Simbeans
Found: Laurondirin (North Nidonn), Estall Bay.
Height: Average-tall.
Build: Average- strong.
Complexion: Average-darkish.
Sub-races: Simbean, Shbelen, Pyhunen.
Hair: Dark to moderate blond, shades of red, brown, and grey.
Eyes: Brown/reddish brown to green or grey.
Face:
Defined jawline, strong brows.
Existing since: ~3500BD
Though considered by Nidoens by outsiders, Simbeans -- people from Laurondirin -- are so unlike the rest of the Nidoens that they consider themselves a separate race, though they verily declare complete loyalty to the king of Duracia. As they have only been around as long as the province of Laurondirin, the origins of the race can be traced back to about 3550BD. Of all human races, they are unrivalled in their average physical strength. They enjoy spices and meat, often at the same time, and also like to prove their strength through games, sports like FistFighting, competitions, and even warfare.
Simbeans are, in a way, Nidoen, but they are so different to other subraces of Nidoen and their culture is so different that they consider themselves a different race. Firstly, their skin tends to be a fair amount darker than any Nidoen, and their bodies are naturally bulkier. Normal Simbeans who live in Laurondirin are known as Laurondrians, and their hair is often light blond or shades of grey. Their eyes are normally two or three different colours, usually greys, browns, and greens. Pirates from Estall Bay are considered Simbeans. Shbelens from the east are shorter and can have tones of red in their hair and eyes, and darker skin. Pyhunens from the west have darker eyes and hair, are slightly taller, and more heavily built than Shbelens.
Katrekri
Found: Tekrikri.
Height: Very tall.
Build: Thin.
Complexion: Very dark.
Sub-races: None.
Hair: Greyish blond.
Eyes: Reddish brown to yellowish brown.
Face:
Strong and stern features.
Existing since: ~3100BD
Also called wisers, or sand mages, katrekri are considered the youngest yet most mysterious race. They reside only on the desert island of Tekrikri, southeast of South Tasif, and are known to be practicing users of earth and fire magic. It's not known who begun to taught them how to use magic, but they pass it on to their children, and are proven to be efficient at using this magic to defend their way of life, so little is known about them. Their skin is very dark, and their wirey hair is blond or silverish, and they are often tall and have angular, strong, and pointed facial features. They first sighted around 3100BD, though it's not known how long they were residing their before this date. It's believed that they could have come from Scarcens, or possibly even from Vasteans who sailed to the island in secret long ago.
