"So you want to hear about the gods, do you? Well, there are three of them. Nikina is the god of creation. Garukavar is the god of destruction. Forganad is the god of balance."
"But there's more to it than that. Nikina's offspring are called the Hireos, and Garukavar's are called the Odanon. Most of them do the bidding of their god, but some do not, and others simply choose mortal lives."
"Or perhaps your interest does not lie in divine beings, but in the temples? Or perhaps in magic and elemental spirits? The choice is yours."
Some races, such as the Truebloods or Fanorans, take spirituality quite seriously. For other races, such as the Keid or the Hamakro, it is slightly less important. However, no race as a collective whole does not believe in any gods. The existence of the gods, the Hireos, and the Odanon, is commonly an undeniable fact of life. Few know about Adumbra, though.
Throughout the world there are temples. These impressively carved structures are mostly abandoned, destroyed, or buried, but some are still active, such as Hunnuklad. When most of the temples and their surrounding towns were attacked and destroyed during The Darkness, religion -- especially among humans -- became a lesser priority, presumably out of fear of 'divine wrath'.
